Rubb Buildings constructed an indoor training facility which allows Newcastle's Football Academy and members of the first team to train in perfect conditions – whatever the weather.

The 67m (220ft) by 90m (295ft) building, which houses a full sized football field, is located at the club's training centre in Longbenton, Newcastle.

The sports building was tailor-made to meet Newcastle United's own specifications while remaining within local planning restrictions.

The club needed an area that was large enough to hold a full sized pitch and high enough to provide headroom for throw-ins and free kicks. In addition the building needed to be in place within a fairly short time-frame.
