Avinor
Bandak Airport, Norway
Norwegian airport giant Avinor purchased a Rubb FX Thermohall building for storing sand. The storage building measuring 12m wide x 25m long with 4.2m sidewalls is located at Bandak Airport.
The structure features an electrically operated overhead door (4m x 6m) and the Thermohall insulation system. It has been erected on a 2m high concrete ring beam. This allows both higher storage height and a solid wall which front loaders can work against when unloading and loading sand. Avinor runs 46 airports in Norway; 12 in cooperation with the Ministry of Defence.
The company also runs three air traffic control centres and all control towers at Norwegian airports. Avinor employs more than 3,000 people in Norway.
